Let’s face it — sometimes life simply doesn’t go the way we planned. Doors close, plans unravel, prayers seem unanswered, and the road ahead can suddenly feel much harder than we expected. But don’t give up.

Perseverance is not about pretending the journey is easy; it is about continuing to trust when the way ahead is uncertain, knowing that God sees what we cannot see and is still at work, even in the most difficult circumstances.

Psalm 139 reminds us that our lives are neither accidental nor without purpose. God knows us, formed us and calls us to live for Him.

Eric Liddell captured that truth in these simple words: “God made me for a purpose”.

God gave Eric Liddell the ability to run fast and used his life to point countless people to Jesus Christ. Have you ever stopped to wonder why God made you the way He did?

There are times when the way ahead seems uncertain and God’s purposes are hidden from us. Psalm 121 reminds us that our confidence rests not in what we can see, but in the God who faithfully watches over us.

D. L. Moody expressed it beautifully when he said: “God never made a promise that was too good to be true.”

Life’s journey often takes us along roads we would never have chosen. Yet wherever God leads, He also promises the grace we need for each step of the way.

Billy Graham expressed it simply: “The will of God will not take us where the grace of God cannot sustain us.”

We all know that life brings mountain-top moments and deep valleys. Yet God shapes our character not only in the times of joy, but also through the challenges of the journey. Isaiah reminds us that although we may not understand the road ahead, we can trust the God who is preparing it.
