There are times when the road ahead is hidden from view. Yet faith reminds us that even when we cannot see where God is leading, we can always trust the One who leads us. Charles Spurgeon expressed it beautifully:

“God is too good to be unkind, and He is too wise to be mistaken. And when we cannot trace His hand, we must trust His heart.” — Charles Spurgeon

Why doesn’t God do something?

It is a question many people ask as they watch the news or carry burdens of their own. Yet throughout the Bible we discover that while God’s people are waiting, God is working. His timing is always perfect, even when we cannot yet see what He is doing.

“He is faithful to hear our prayers and to answer them in His own time and in His own way.” — Billy Graham

Every day we have opportunities to reflect the love of Christ—in our homes, workplaces, neighbourhoods and church family. Our words matter, but our actions often speak even more clearly. As D L Moody once wrote:

“The only Bible some people will ever read is the life of a Christian.” D L Moody

So, in every situation we encounter, why not ask yourself, “What would Jesus want me to do now?” And then do it.

Jesus taught that our neighbour is not simply someone who lives nearby, but anyone whose need God places before us. D. L. Moody reminds us where true Christian witness begins:

“The world does not understand theology or dogma, but it understands love and sympathy.” — Dwight L. Moody

This week we celebrate the glory of Christ revealed on the mountain of Transfiguration. Yet we also remember those whose lives have been shaken by tragedy. In every circumstance—whether on the mountain or in the valley—our hope rests in the God who is present, faithful, and at work.

As Eric Liddell once said:

“Circumstances may appear to wreck our lives and God’s plans, but God is not helpless among the ruins.”
— Eric Liddell
