This week my Bible reading reminded my that we need to make time to stop and simply remember the goodness and faithfulness of God in our lives. It is so easy to forget what an amazing God we have.

This week please pray for a fresh release of God’s Holy Spirit upon ABC.
“Father, please pour out your Spirit and bring revival to your church at Aldwick, to the local community and to each one of your family here at ABC.”
Here’s a thought – Why not ask God to give you an opportunity to share the Gospel with someone new this week? Pray for it. Prepare for it. Go for it!
This weekend we will be celebrating Pentecost when the promised Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ while they were in Jerusalem celebrating the Feast of Weeks. Why not ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit right now and give you the power to tell others the wonderful news of the Gospel?
Are you weighed down by the isolation blues? Well here’s a thought – this week why not “Consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24). I am sure that will lift your spirits!
As our lockdown continues, why not take a good look out of your window today? Is there anyone to whom you could reach out to with compassion this week? Everyone is finding life difficult at present, so why not ask the Lord how you can help?
On Friday, we celebrated VE day and the Queen made a speech to mark the 75 years that have passed since the peace treaty was signed with Germany. In her speech, the Queen quoted from her father’s speech of that era when said, “We will never give up; we will never despair.” How true that is for the Christian. She also said that despite the lockdown, “Our streets are filled with love”. How wonderful if this continues and is augmented by the love of Jesus.
I imagine we are all struggling with our imposed self isolation and wondering when it will end. Well this weekend, could please pray for all the families with young children who simply want to go out and play with their friends. I know they are finding things particularly difficult at present. The good news is that although our living conditions have changed, our God is still the same. He promises that when you call on Him, He will answer (Psalm 91:15). What an amazing God.
In what ways do you see your life as a journey of discovery with God? Think about where are you on that journey. What is God revealing to you as you go along? Be assured He is walking right besides you even when you feel He isn’t!
As most of us are self isolating at the moment, here is a question for you to think about. What made you most grateful as well as least grateful to God of the last week? No need to rush, so just take your time.
