No matter what sort of week you have had, why not thank the Lord for walking with you through it all.
If someone asked you why you are a Christian, how would you respond? Not sure, then do pray about it because you just don’t know who you will bump into this week!
This weekend’s big idea. If you want to establish a lifestyle that leads you to thrive in God, don’t just read the Bible. Become absorbed with the Bible. This is very much the theme of our midweek worship services – don’t miss them.
Even if you read your Bible every day, as I hope you do, there is a big difference between understanding the passage and having a revelation from God. This week, before you even open your Bible, please pray that God will reveal more of Himself to you each day.
In a world that is currently in turmoil over Covid19 and the possibility of further restrictions on our lives , why not take a few minutes off to think of five ways in which you have experienced God’s love recently? No matter what is going on, God’s love for you remains constant.
This week, why not think back to when you benefited from the hospitality of others, particularly from Christian brothers and sisters. Thank God for these acts of kindness. Why not do likewise this week?
In a world frequently dominated by “false news”, why not praise God for someone you know who is honest and true. Pray too for wisdom about living in a world where truth is becoming a rare commodity.
As we partially return to worshipping in church this Sunday, why not give thanks to the successive generations of Christians who have met in this place over the years to worship the King of Kings? It’s good to know their legacy lives on.
On a very gloomy and wet day, why not recall with a grateful heart some of the answers to prayer with which God has blessed you. Why not share this with a neighbour over a cup of tea!
