Just imagine what He can do with you!
If you are feeling a bit down as you grow older, Martyn Lloyd-Jones has a simple cure. Just remind yourself of God – who God is, what God is, what He has done, and what He has pledged Himself to do. If you are a Christian that should remind you that the best is not behind you but ahead of you.
Charles Spurgeon once said ‘You will never exaggerate when you speak good things of God. It is not possible to do so.’ So this week, why not tell someone just how marvellous our God actually is?
Charles Spurgeon once wrote, “The Bible is not the light of the world, it is the light of the Church. But the world does not read the Bible, the world reads Christians! ‘You are the light of the world.’”
Can you see how important it is that we reflect Jesus’ love in every aspect of our lives? Consider this to be a challenge from God Himself.
Is anything troubling you at the moment? if so, cry out to God. He is waiting to hear from you.
This week, why not take some time to look back over your life? Think about how God has worked through these events to draw you closer to Him. Then praise the Lord for God is good.
This week spend a few minutes reflecting on this quote by C S Lewis, “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” Is that how your see life? If not, why not?
This weekend we will be opening up the baptistry as Mohsen and Mitra go through the waters. Thus following in Jesus’ own footsteps. “As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him: (Matthew 13:16).
This week, whatever you are going through, try to remember to ‘Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever.’ (Psalm 136). That is definitely worth remembering.
