As the church gradually returns to normal, let’s try to be content with being “normal”. Let us look back with fond memories of the church we have been, but look forward to the church we can be, if we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and follow His plans for ABC.
From this weekend worship will be resuming in the church without the need for making a reservation in line with Baptist Union’s current guidelines. We do, however, ask you not to attend if you have any of the COVID-19 (fever, persistent dry cough and loss of taste or smell) and have not had any of these symptoms for the last 10 days, or if you have been to isolate bt NHS Track and Trace.
It is also recommended that we record the names of all attendees for Track and Trace purposes either by using the NHS CIVId-19 app or manually signing in. Providing this information is optional.
Wearing facemasks is no longer compulsory and so we are encouraging to be make your own decision as to wear a mask or not.
During this week, why not think about this quote form D L Moody, “The Scriptures were not given to increase our knowledge but to change our lives.” This quote clearly implies that we should all be reading our Bibles regularly.
CH Spurgeon once said, “Peace is joy resting, and joy is is peace dancing.”. This week why not think about this and ask the LOrd to make it a real, lived-out experience in your relationship with Him. And remember to, “Keep dancing!”
This week please remember that it is through prayer we align our priorities with God’s will for us. As you pray this week why not ask the Lord of the harvest to grow His compassion for the lost in your hearts? The lost mattered to Jesus, the lost matter to God and the lost should be central in all of plans for the future.
Jesus said, “A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13:34). Of course, this is no longer a new command for us today but it essential that we take it to heart and put it into action every day.
This week why not take a few moments to think about this quote from D. L. Moody, ““The world does not understand theology or dogma, but it understands love and sympathy.” Now having thought about it, what are you going to do about it this week?
Take a moment to worship God before reading any further. now take another moment to thank God for saving you through Jesus.
Job, despite all of the setbacks he encountered said, “I’ve followed Him closely, my feet in His footprints, not swerving from His way” (Job 23, 11, MSG). Can you I say the same? Can you? If not, why not?
