It’s a busy time of the year but remember this – ‘We must be ready to allow ourselves to be interrupted by God’ (Dietrich Bonhoeffer) – if we are not, we might just miss something very important.

D L Moody once wrote, ‘There are many of us that are willing to do great things for the Lord, but few of us are willing to do little things.’ We need people who are committed to doing the little things well. Is that you?

On Remembrance day, think on this – ‘Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few’ (Winston Churchill, 20th August 1940. We shall remember them.

This week D. L Moody has someting to say to us all, “Christ is our Way; we walk in Him. He is our Truth; we embrace Him. He is our Life; we live in Him. He is our Lord; we choose Him to rule over us. He is our Master; we serve Him.” This is the Christian life!

Whatever you are going throgh at present there is always good news if you know where to look – “In every difficult situation, trust that God’s strength is greater than your circumstances.”

“Pursue holiness with a prepared mind and a heart anchored in Christ’s grace.”

“Through baptism, we proclaim our faith and publicly acknowledge our dedication to following Christ’s teachings” – Rick Warren.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6).

Jesus has message for each one this morning: “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you”

Whenever you are feeling lost, deflated or simply too tired to go on – reflect on this inspiring quote from Charles Spurgeon – “The sweetest prayers God ever hears are the groans and sighs of those who have no hope in anything but his love.”
